I love racing games and this was one game I was really looking foward to. But alas I now own an Xbox360. I hope Forza 2 is good because I never played the 1st one since I owned a PS2 back then.

Great! Gran Turismo HD Concept was amazing graphically and was fun so this will be great. And online play will be awesome. Im hopeing the game will support up to 6 players offline and maybe 16 online.... That would be crazy good.

Seriously Sony...what are you doing?
I've played ALL the GT iterations. Frankly the last one was so "more of the same with pretty pictures"
As an in-house project which I am the best software support, what could POSSIBLY take this long to get another GT version out the door? Lets just say the new GT better have, damage,a large assortment of cars (which is never a problem for you guys), killer online support oh..and one key element..it should be FUN and not a chore. Yeah..i said it. Those tests were a CHORE. Now get back to work!

GT4 Prologue came out in December of '03 and the US version came out February of '05; So by guestimation, that means after factoring in continuous delays, GT5 should come out around 2010?

with that much time on their hands I bet they can even make their simulator handle like real cars! (cough, Forza1 handles better, cough)

I never played Forza 1, is it any good compared to the GT series? Serious question by the way.

After playing Gran Turismo with rumble, I can't have it any other way. Shifting isn't going to be as much of a treat with the Sixaxis.

So if Europe gets GT5 in Spring of 08 that means that by the end of 07 it should come out in the US. If that is what I am reading that is cool news. But most likely there will be a delay.

So other then that I wonder when GT mobile will be out for the PSP.

So... putting this through my Polyphony decoder ring, the Prologue will actually come out in December, and GT5 in Fall 2008. No rush to get that PS3. Maybe I'll check 360 out again.

sev4 pri1: you're out of your mind if you think forza handled better...only if you like arcade or drift style cars. GT is by far the better superior handling game with many more set-up options...

Jesus, would they just get the F'ing game out already... I totally agree with #3. Each one is basically more of the same. Not that that's bad. The games are amazing. But I really don't understand what could be taking them that long. GT HD is amazing, yet I'm supposed to believe the actual game is going to take another year and a half, if not more? And to #8: Forza is great, but in a lot of ways, GT is better. The dynamic racing line from Forza should be in every sim racing game though.

Another demo? UGH!

Stop concentrating on the demo, and just finish, then release the game.

Forza1 is great, to whoever asked. It is pretty similar to GT. I like the Forza racing and handling better, but GT games are quite deep with setup options and car selections. They are both great. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, but both strive for the same goal. No doubt Forza was influenced by the GT series. According to metacritic, GT4 was an 89 and Forza1 was a 92, so both obviously good games.

Gran Turismo isn't going to change drastically, and shouldn't. It will have better graphics, physics, etc, the newest cars, a few more options, and new tracks. That is what the fanbase wants and anyone who doesn't want "more of the same with prettier graphics" should get a different racing game like PGR, NFS, or Motostorm, for example. Forza2 will also be at core the same as Forza1. They are both great games. Forza is obviously the Xbox's Gran Turismo.

That is a long time to wait, though. I agree that this game should be out sooner than that. Hopefully it rocks. I may have a PS3 by then.

Nick, did you even bother to read the article?

Its simply saying there will be a Demo for the new GT before the game comes out... *Gasp* i mean thats never happened before and seriously hinders development of said title doesnt it?

That aside, Push up that date to november 07 sony! make it a first year release please!

From what I understood, the GT:HD demo wasn't using the same game engine as what they have planned for GT5. So, this next demo should be using the new engine, and really show of something new and pretty. Or something. I might just be confused.

I know plenty of people that get off on playing this game for hours on end, racing the same track, tweaking the car to get just a little more out of it. meh. I'm sure I'll still pick it up, but I doubt I'll be playing it till I pass out on the couch like I used to. At least there wouldn't be any rumble to wake me up when I hit the walls now.

you know... after a certain point Sim-style racing games are going to be like sports games. Actually, they kinda already are. Once the physics/graphics plateau, which they will soon, what will be left?

Most likely just updated car lists of the latest models like updated rosters in Madden.

You don't play GT with a Logitech Driving Force (EX or PRO)? I can't play this game with ANY joypad full stop. Force Feedback will still be supported in Wheels like this for PS3. And hopefully newer titles like GT5 will support the Awesome Logitech G25 (full six speed manual shifting and clutch).

Well good for us Europeans who dont drive sissy Automatics ;) (I do a joke, mmha)

This game should be so sweet. We need more games of that caliber, and much sooner, for the PS# to really take off. Check out http://www.savetheps3.com to see how the PS3 is doing and how we can help make it better.

well, at least they're taking their time so *hopefully* it won't ship with bugs that need patches (Crackdown for 360)...
